Have you been looking for a chance to visit Kaicycle Urban Farm? Come along our Community Open Day in Hepetema / September. This year we’ve decided to keep our community open days going throughout the winter as we’ve had so much interest which is awesome! Come along for as much or as little of the day as you would like.
9:30am - 12.30pm COMMUNITY WORKING BEE - Registrations required.
Growing local kai in ways that are good for the whenua is climate action. Come and get your hands in the māra, learn practical skills, and meet some cool people. Please register at www.kaicycle.org.nz/volunteer
12:30PM - 1:30pm, KAI BREAK
Join us for a shared lunch and a chilled hang out in the māra. Please bring some kai to share if you can.
1:00PM - FARM TOUR
If you haven't been to our urban farm before, this is a great opportunity to find out what we're all about and how our farm and community composting works.
1:30pm - 3.00pm WORKSHOP: GROWING FROM CUTTINGS
This practical workshop covers everything you need to know to grow great seedlings, from seed anatomy, which seeds to buy, when your plants are ready to go out into the big wide world, and everything in between.
