Write. Create. Inspire.Junior Girl Scouts are invited to earn the Scribe Badge with Author Sara Shacter. Each participant will receive the Scribe Badge and a copy of Shacter’s “Georgia Watson and the 99 Cent Campaign” with registration.
Throughout the day, Girl Scouts will experiment with several forms of writing. Activities will encourage girls to use writing to express themselves, connect with others, entertain, educate, and advocate for change.
Participants will practice haiku, interview a partner and share what they learn, write about a meaningful personal memory, collaborate on an original group play, and create a letter they can send into the world.
Please bring a packed lunch.
