Joining this month’s Ritual is the Multifaceted OLUWAFEMI.. Oluwafemi is a rhythmist based in Philadelphia, originally from Lagos, Nigeria. He explores how our lives embody and reflect the universal phenomenon of pattern and repetition. For 15 years, his visual and musical work has spanned deejaying, music production, pen illustration, painting, digital still and video art. He produces experiences with various combinations of sights and sounds. His music influences are deeply rooted in the cultures of the African diaspora utilizing jazz, funk, reggae, hip-hop, house and afrobeat, among other similar genres. Visually, his drawings, murals and digital art reveal a deep inspiration by Geometry, African, and Hip-Hop cultures.
The Artist that is OLUWAFEMI goes on at 10pm-Midnight.. Doors open @8pm TueApr28 w/BORN on warm-up..
