If you don't already have an account with the non-profit, Wave Aquatics, you will be prompted to create one. Then register for this event.
Child Supervision
Children aged 6 and under must be accompanied by an adult, within arms reach, at all times. Up to 3 children may be supervised by 1 adult. Bathers who are not potty-trained must wear swim diapers with tight-fitting protective coverings. Diapers must be changed in the designated diaper changing area or restrooms.
Location details
You are welcome to park in Juanita High School's visitor parking, in front of the pool and Field House. The entrance to the pool is adjacent to the entrance of the field house.
Locker Rooms
The Juanita Aquatics Center has gendered locker rooms, with toilets, sinks, showers and lockers for day use. Please bring your own lock to lock up any items you store in a locker. Please rinse off before entering the pool. There is one restroom available to families and as a non-gendered changing room. It has a toilet, but no shower. Please see a lifeguard for to the restroom. (Note: the Juanita Aquatics Center will be renovated in 2028 to add a family and all-gender changing room and bathroom.)
Accessibility
The Juanita Aquatics Center building and locker rooms are wheelchair accessible. The pool features a set of mobile stairs which can be used for deep-end accessibility. Please contact a
lifeguard if use of the stairs is needed.
For swimmers with autism, sensory processing differences, and other sensory sensitivities, here is what to expect when visiting the pool:
Sound: Indoor pools echo. You’ll hear splashing, voices, coach and lifeguard whistles, and announcements. Earplugs or swim-safe ear protection can help.
Lights: The pool area is brightly lit and light reflects off the water. Tinted goggles can make the glare easier on the eyes.
Smell and feel: The water and air may smell of chlorine. The water is kept at 86 °F and the deck can feel cool when you get out.
Crowds: the pool may be busy.
Ways we can help:
Plan ahead: Call or email Wave Aquatics before your visit to answer any questions you may have or to suggest quieter times for a swim.
Visit first: You’re welcome to stop by and see the pool before you swim.

Your Event Hosts:
The Juanita Neighborhood Association (JNA) is one of thirteen nonprofit neighborhood associations in Kirkland, WA. We are community members who are committed to improving Juanita by hosting neighborhood events, engaging residents in local affairs, and working with the city government to enhance the livability of the area. We regularly host socials, informational Zoom meetings with guest speakers, an annual picnic, and special events -- like this one!
Registered emails will be added to the JNA's newsletter subscription list to receive updates a couple of times per month about other Kirkland -- and especially Juanita-area -- community events. You can unsubscribe at any time.
For this special event, JNA is delighted to partner with Wave Aquatics, the non-profit organization that manages the pool at Juanita High School for the school district.
