A Fekete Zaj Fesztivál bemutatja:Jozef van Wissem plays Nosferatu
2026. október 31. szombat 20:30
Budapest, Toldi Mozi
F. W. Murnau 1922-es Nosferatu némafilmjére zenél élőben Jozef van Wissem, mindezt Halloween éjszakáján a Toldi Moziban.
Jozef Van Wissem avantgárd holland lantművész és zeneszerző, akinek egyedi hangzásvilágában a barokk lant hagyományai találkoznak sötét, meditatív és kísérleti hangzásokkal. Rendszeresen dolgozik együtt Jim Jarmusch filmrendezővel és zenésszel. Közös munkájuk a Only Lovers Left Alive díjnyertes filmzenéje is.
2019-ben a párizsi Cinémathèque Française felkérésére komponált új filmzenét F. W. Murnau 1922-es némafilmjéhez, a Nosferatuhoz.

Jozef Van Wissem will perform his live score to F. W. Murnau’s 1922 silent film Nosferatu on Halloween eve at Toldi Cinema.
Jozef Van Wissem is an avant-garde Dutch lutenist and composer whose unique sound blends the traditions of the baroque lute with dark, meditative and experimental textures. He regularly collaborates with filmmaker and musician Jim Jarmusch, with whom he created the award-winning soundtrack for Only Lovers Left Alive.
In 2019, Van Wissem was commissioned by the Cinémathèque Française to compose a new score for F. W. Murnau’s 1922 silent horror classic Nosferatu. The soundtrack was released in 2022, and he has since performed it live alongside the film.
According to The New York Times, the performance begins with a solo on the lute before expanding into electric guitar and distorted recordings of extinct bird species, gradually moving from subtle, restrained sounds towards gothic horror. In Van Wissem’s own words, the soundtrack builds from silence to noise over the course of 90 minutes, culminating in “dense, slow death metal.”
