About this Event
This workshop is for people who are going through challenging times (menopause-related or otherwise), who aren't prepared to view midlife as a time of fading, giving up or settling for less, and who want to step into their next chapter with passion, exciting escapades and personal fulfilment.
WHAT'S UP WITH THIS TIME OF LIFE?
Midlife and menopause can be a tough cocktail of Why has everything gone to sh*t?, Where has my joy gone? and Why don't I feel like me anymore? You're often carrying far more than you ever have before, pulled in a million different directions, navigating heavy, stressful, difficult or disruptive times - whether it's tricky menopause symptoms, dissatisfaction at work, relationship difficulties, ageing parents, troublesome teenagers, empty nesting, caring responsibilities, bereavement, health issues (or often a heady combination of these!) It can feel like your life has been hijacked.
You don't feel like yourself any more - your identity is shifting but it's easy to feel stuck in a limbo between who you were and who you're becoming, wanting to shed what you've outgrown but not being sure what's next. It's common to feel flat and think, Is this really it? You used to feel so much more alive but now it can feel like you're just going through the motions. You're desperate to get your spark back and do have ideas for things you could or should be doing but often find yourself stuck and for some reason unable to actually do them.
COMMON RESPONSES
Often people tend to do one or more of the following:
⌛️ Wait for things to get better - some things will of course get better but life will unavoidably throw further tough challenges at us so hoping and waiting can only be a short-term solution.
💊 Look for solutions in other people or products - supplements, HRT, treatments and therapies absolutely have their place and for many people can be extremely helpful. However, they don't always address the full picture of what's going on for you personally and are often expensive and therefore inaccessible to some. It can also be disheartening and disempowering feeling that your solutions are in the hands of others, so it's important to look at where we may have agency ourselves, especially where there's no financial cost.
😞 Accept that this is just how it will be from now on - thanks to societal and cultural messaging, many people genuinely believe that midlife onwards is typically a downward trajectory where everything is a bit 'less than' - and that feeling this way is just something to be expected and accepted.
AN ALTERNATIVE SOLUTION
The fact is that during midlife and the years ahead, life will continue to throw us deep challenges - and waiting and hoping for life to get simpler or the storm to pass can lead to continued disappointment and frustration. Alternatively we can learn how to not lose ourselves in the process, get our spark back, thrive and remain connected to our own personal needs, joy and fulfilment despite, and alongside, any difficulties we face.
It's about discovering what you can change, where possibility still exists, and how to carve out more moments of joy, energy, fun, meaning and aliveness even whilst in the middle of turbulent times. This is exactly what we explore in this interactive, one-day workshop!

What you can look forward to:
This workshop is your chance to learn how to step out of a midlife slump and start exploring what could be possible for you instead - how you can thrive alongside life's challenges, find levity among heaviness, fun alongside sadness, and energy among exhaustion.
We'll help you reconnect with parts of yourself you've lost touch with and to discover new ones you didn't know were there. Midlife isn't the beginning of the end, and your best years aren't behind you. This is an exciting new era and there can be fire, adventure, colour, passion, excitement, possibility and real joy ahead.
You spend most of your time and energy holding and supporting everyone and everything else. This is a space where the time is YOURS, where YOU are the one being held and supported as you figure out what you want and need, and how you might get it, within the solidarity of a warm, like-minded group who share your experiences and really understand.
Together we’ll use a strategic, practical, thought-provoking and holistic approach rooted in decades of combined experience in women’s health, somatic therapy and creative coaching to help you start to make the shift and begin to make a personalised plan for happier and easier times ahead.
We'll help you understand how to:
🚫 Identify what’s been holding you back - physically, mentally and emotionally - so you can bust past your blocks
🔋 Carve out more time, space and energy
👤 Develop a clearer sense of identity, rediscover who you are and what truly lights you up now
✂️ Shed what you’ve outgrown
🧡 Revive the passionate, joyful, curious person you know you still are
📋 Make a plan for exciting adventures ahead!
