Josh Hicks — An Evening UndercoverSoulful sounds. Cinematic flair. A touch of mystery.
For his first hometown headline show, Welsh singer-songwriter Josh Hicks takes to the stage at the Phyllis Maud, joined by his band and two musical accomplices.
Raised on his parents’ love of ’80s pop, the timeless grooves of Motown and the expressive worlds of jazz and blues, Josh brings these influences into a contemporary soul and R&B sound. Expect heartfelt originals, smooth, soulful vocals and intimate acoustic moments alongside the energy of a full-band performance. His natural warmth and quick wit bring personality and spontaneity to the music, creating a connection that goes beyond the songs.
A multi-award-winning artist, Josh has won four Love Live Music Awards. BBC Radio 2’s Trevor Nelson praised his voice: “He’s got a lovely voice.” The Riverfront described his performance as leaving audiences in “captivated, silent rapture”.
