This is a special exhibition by Johann Agius as a tribute to his father and grandfather as three generations of Maltese artists, curated by Audrey Rose Mizzi and hosted by Heritage Malta inside the Inquisitor's Palace in Birgu. Following the official invite-only launch on the evening of 24th September, which will also mark what would have been Joseph Agius' 74th birthday, Johann Agius' first solo exhibition will be open to the public for over 4 months until the end of January 2027.
Rather than being a typical gallery-like exhibition, our aim is for those visiting to explore and experience the narrative of three generations of artists influencing and inspiring each other’s work.
Kindly note that the exhibition will be hosted in the upper gallery space at the Inquisitor’s Palace in Birgu, which requires the payment of the venue’s admission to enter, unless you are already a Heritage Malta member or passport holder which entitle you to enter for free.
Entrance tickets for adults are €6, €4.50 for seniors or students and €3 for children aged 11 and under.
