Join us for the art opening of Andrea Barbier’s "Archive of Feeling" on November 13 from 5pm-7:30pm! This exhibition features a collection of photographic works created through the Mordançage process over the past 25 years. Through experimental techniques and expressive imagery, Andrea explores the possibilities of photography, creating unique works shaped by decades of artistic exploration.Andrea Barbier is a Baton Rouge–based commercial and fine art photographer who expertly crafts one-of-a-kind photographs using the French alternative process of Mordançage. Each of her images begins in the darkroom and are hand-manipulated to create pieces that explore the topics of intimacy, memory, and the female experience. Her exhibition, Archive of Feeling, draws on more than two decades of artistic exploration and experimentation with this unique process. She holds degrees from Savannah College of Art and Design and Louisiana State University and has exhibited nationally and internationally. She currently serves as in-house photographer for Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry.
