About this Event
Earn program admission simply by performing well (Grade of B or better) in a three-course pathway specialization.
Breadth: Network Systems: Principles and Practice (Linux and Cloud Networking) (3 credits)
(1) CSCA 5063: Network Systems Foundation
(2) CSCA 5073: Network Principles in Practice: Linux Networking
(3) CSCA 5083: Network Principles in Practice: Cloud Networking
Plan to enroll in non-credit version first using Coursera.
Must have a wi-fi enabled laptop.
Are there any prerequisites for the program?
There are no formal prerequisites for the MS-CS or MS-AI programs, but you should be knowledgeable in the following MS-CS recommended prior knowledge:
Algorithms: You must understand the concepts covered in the following courses taught by Dr. Sriram Sankaranarayanan to succeed in the pathway focusing on data structures and algorithms.
CU recommends completing these courses in the non-credit experience before starting that three-course MS-CS pathway; they are a great option to refresh your skills and ensure you're ready.
Non-credit version of Algorithms for Searching, Sorting, and Indexing Non-credit version of Trees and Graphs: Basics
Note that you cannot apply credit from these courses toward MS-CS graduation requirements.
Programming: You should be familiar with one or more of the following languages:
C, C++, or Rust - consider the following Coursera courses for more learning:
C++ For C Programmers, Part A |Coursera
C++ For C Programmers, Part B | Coursera
Python – consider CU Boulder's non-credit Expressway to Data Science: Python Programmingspecialization if you do not feel confident in this material.
