About this Event
John Reynolds Jazz Septet: A Peanuts Christmas celebrates the timeless holiday music of Vince Guaraldi with a fresh, swinging jazz approach. Featuring the beloved music from A Charlie Brown Christmas, the septet brings Guaraldi’s warm melodies, playful grooves, and unmistakable holiday spirit to life in an intimate live setting.
Led by acclaimed trumpeter, bandleader, and educator John Reynolds, the septet brings together seven talented jazz musicians for a festive evening of imaginative arrangements, spirited improvisation, and musical nostalgia. Drawing on the rich traditions of both small-group jazz and larger ensemble writing, Reynolds and his band offer a fresh perspective on Guaraldi’s cherished compositions while honoring the warmth, simplicity, and playful sophistication that have made this music a holiday favorite for generations.
