Hollywood, Ending
John Green
In conversation with Julia Whelan
Literary phenom John Green returns to examine the attraction and toll of celebrity culture with his first-ever novel written for adults, Hollywood, Ending! Informed by years of proximity to celebrity through film adaptations and his own online stardom, Green’s latest is a meditation on how fame can change your life in exciting but terrifying ways.
With trademark tenderness and wit, Green’s anticipated return comes nine years after Turtles All the Way Down, at a time when content competes for our attention and people everywhere vie to break into stardom.
Its timing is no mistake—and ALOUD is excited to invite you to hear more from John live on stage.
