Join Canton Comedy Boom on Saturday, October 3rd for a night of hilarious stand-up comedy with headliner John Armstrong, and feature comedian, Leyla Ingalls!
John Armstrong is a comedian, father, and provocateur who has lived in the best and worst neighborhoods in Cleveland. His comedy is much like his personality: quick-witted and over-the-top. Flowing with charm and charisma, John covers topics like family, politics, and navigating relationships.
John has opened or featured for such legendary acts as John Witherspoon, Dave Attell, Ari Shaffir, Ms. Pat, JB Smoove, and Whitney Cummings. John recently won the Performer’s Award and Comedian of the Year at the Cleveland Comedy Awards, and his comedy special, John Armstrong Against the World is available on YouTube..
Leyla Ingalls is a comedian and writer known for her deceivingly innocent demeanor paired with clever joke writing and absurdist stances. She performs in comedy clubs across the country and has headlined notable venues such as The Comedy Store in Los Angeles, California. She is a crowd favorite at the widely known “Don’t Tell Comedy” showcases and has also opened for Kevin Nealon, Joe Gatto, Geoffrey Asmus, and Sam Tallent.
Leyla received the title “Rookie of the Year” for stand-up her first year in the game by Columbus Underground, and after performing on the hit podcast K*ll Tony, Leyla has amassed a following on her socials leading to millions of views.
Your host for the evening will be the lovely Jo Rou. who has written and starred in videos that have been featured on CollegeHumor, Funny or Die, Huffpost, Glamour, E! Online and is a former performer at Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York City.
