🥋 Jiu Jitsu Fundamentals – Beginner Course | Leicester
New to Leicester? Looking for a new challenge? Want to meet people while learning something completely different?
Come and try Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at Leicester Shootfighters — a beginner-friendly martial arts programme designed for adults with little or no previous experience.
Whether you've just moved to Leicester for university, started a new job, or simply want to get out, meet some new people and try something different, this is a great place to start.
📅 4-Week Beginner Programme
Starts Monday 5th October 2026
📅 Mondays & Wednesdays for 4 weeks
⏰ 7:00pm – 8:00pm
You'll train alongside a group of other beginners and learn the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in a friendly, supportive environment.

Is Jiu Jitsu right for me?
Absolutely — you don't need to be fit, strong or experienced to get started.
Our Fundamentals sessions are specifically designed to introduce beginners to the basic techniques and concepts of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
You'll learn alongside other people who are also starting out, so there's no pressure to already know what you're doing.
You don't need:
❌ Previous martial arts experience
❌ A special uniform
❌ Any specialist equipment
❌ To be super fit
Just bring yourself, comfortable sports clothing and a willingness to learn.
