Arizona alternative rock icons Jimmy Eat World are returning to Australia this December for their biggest ever Australian headline tour, celebrating 25 years of *Bleed American* — the album that took them from cult heroes to one of the defining guitar bands of the 2000s.The tour marks Jimmy Eat World’s first Australian headline run since 2017, with Sydney getting one of the final chances anywhere in the world to see *Bleed American* performed live in full.
Released in 2001, *Bleed American* gave the world ‘The Middle’, ‘Sweetness’, ‘A Praise Chorus’ and the title track, helping shape the emotional, melodic guitar music that would ripple through pop-punk, emo and alternative rock for the next two decades.
They’ll be joined by Ruby Fields and A. Swayze & The Ghosts, making this a massive night for Sydney fans of heartfelt guitar music, huge singalong choruses and early-2000s alternative rock nostalgia done properly.
