The story behind the day:This event started from the last big outing that Janette (Wardy) and my surrogate, illegitimate, adopted, de facto big sister Jillian shared before they both became unwell—a Marrickville brewery crawl that wrapped up at Keg & Brew on Foveaux St in the city.
That’s why we keep the same start and finish each year. Along the way, we mix in some old favourites with a few new venues to keep things fresh.
What the day is all about:
* Raising funds and awareness for brain cancer research
* Spending time with genuinely awesome people
* Enjoying some excellent beverages
Plan for the Day:
⏰ 11:30am kick-off
📍 Batch Brewing Co
44 Sydenham Rd, Marrickville
From there, we’ll move on to a new brewery roughly every hour. The total walking time across the day is about 30 minutes, so it’s very manageable.
