Our popular weeknight classes are the best ways to immerse yourself in jewellery making.The block starts Tuesday 27 October and runs for 8 weeks until Tuesday 15 December, 5.30pm - 8pm.
This class is designed for students who already have some skills and are ready to develop their craftsmanship in a lively, warm, and supportive environment. Guided by our highly skilled tutors, you’ll build confidence, refine your techniques, and gain the satisfaction of making jewellery that reflects your personal style.
If you’re brand new to jewellery making, we recommend beginning with our Monday Evening 8-Week Beginners’ Block, which gives a solid foundation in essential techniques before moving on to this class.
At Level 2, the focus is on precision and technique. Students explore the art of chain making, a classic jewellery making project that develops fine soldering skills and accuracy in construction. This project is an excellent way to build confidence with the torch and create a piece of jewellery that is both functional and beautiful. The finished chain can become a pendant, bracelet, or necklace, or you may choose to adapt it into a design of your own.
At Level 3 and above, the emphasis shifts toward creativity and design development. Students at this stage are encouraged to take on more complex projects, experiment with new and challenging techniques, and bring their own design ideas to life. With the guidance of our skilled and supportive tutors, you’ll learn how to push your skills further, problem-solve during the making process, and refine your eye for detail and design.
Evening classes are not just about the technical side of jewellery making - they are also a chance to slow down, enjoy the process, and be part of a creative community. Many students return term after term, finding the rhythm of regular making both mindful and rewarding.
Please note: this class does not include a materials allowance, giving you the flexibility to choose your own metals, stones, or other materials. You only pay for what you use, making it easier to customise your projects and work at your own pace.
