Two Week Jewellery Making Course with Amanda BurtonSpend two creative sessions learning how to turn simple wire, copper sheet and brass sheet into your own handmade jewellery.
Led by Amanda Burton of Wire Moon, this relaxed two-week course is designed to introduce you to a range of jewellery-making and metalworking techniques in a friendly, supportive setting.
You’ll learn how to cut, shape, texture and assemble metal, to create your own unique pieces. There’ll be plenty of room to experiment with surface texture, form and design, with Amanda guiding you through the techniques step by step.
The course is suitable for complete beginners, as well as anyone who has already done a little jewellery making and would like to develop their skills.
Across the two sessions you’ll explore techniques that can be used to make pieces such as:
• Earrings
• Pendants
• Rings
• Wirework and textured metal components
Everything you make is yours to take home, along with new skills and ideas you can continue experimenting with afterwards.
Amanda has been making jewellery in copper for more than 15 years, developing many of her own wirework techniques along the way. Her work has been featured in Vogue Magazine, and she has written tutorials for Jewellery Making Magazine.
All tools and materials are provided — you don’t need to bring anything with you.
