One week in Oman, 45 degree heat, shot on 35mm and 120 film.Jewel of the East is a series of photographs by James Simpson, made on roads where he was often the only person in sight. Set against that stillness is the colour and noise of the people he met along the way.
The exhibition runs in two parts. Landscapes on the walls hold the quiet of the open country. In the centre of the room, a weekly goat market beneath a circular pavilion is hung in the round, so you move through the images the way James moved through the market.

Free entry, no booking needed. All 36 works are for sale, $150 - $300, collected at the close of the exhibition.
