Experience a truly unique crossover concert as award-winning bassist, composer, and songwriter Mads Houe celebrates the release of his brand-new single, ”De Fortabte Sønner” (The Prodigal Sons), with an exclusive show at Vor Frelsers Kirke in Aalborg.
Named "Aalborg Jazz Artist of the Year" (Årets Nordjyske Jazznavn) in 2023, Mads Houe recently made a radical move: in the summer of 2024, he completely deactivated his social media and went into a full year of digital isolation to escape the noise of algorithms and focus entirely on analogue depth, family, and health. The result of this digital detox is his upcoming debut album, JESUS TALER (Jesus Speaks) – a cinematic, modern audio-bible where timeless parables are masterfully re-imagined through an organic genre-mix of dreamlike indie-folk soundscapes and raw, contemporary rap.
For this special evening, Mads Houe has assembled a massive 11-piece ensemble of exceptional musicians, brought together by their shared faith and a passion for connecting with people through music:
