Please note:
This is not a full how-to grillz course. It’s a fun, hands-on Jem Junkies experience designed to tap into your creativity, introduce you to the process, and bring you into the world of custom grillz.

This is a hands-on, beginner-friendly workshop designed to give you an inside look at the custom grillz process in a fun, intimate, and culture-forward environment. Whether you’re curious about the craft, love jewelry culture, or just want a unique experience in Chicago, this workshop gives you the chance to step into our world and learn the basics with us.

During the workshop, guests will be guided through key parts of the process and get a closer understanding of how custom grillz begin. This is not just about watching — it’s about participating, learning, asking questions, and enjoying the experience.

Expect good vibes, real conversation, guided instruction, and a small-group setting that keeps the experience personal.

This is a workshop experience designed to introduce guests to the process. Final product options, casting options, or private group experiences can be discussed separately.

Approximate Workshop Timeline / Agenda

12:00 PM – Welcome + Introductions
Guests arrive, settle in, and meet the Jem Junkies team along with the other attendees.

12:15 PM – Class Overview
We walk everyone through the full class experience, explain the grillz-making process from start to finish, and go over what guests can expect during the workshop.

12:30 PM – Forms + Prep
Guests complete any required forms before we begin the hands-on portion of the experience.

12:45 PM – Impressions
We begin taking impressions and explaining why this step matters in the grillz-making process.

1:15 PM – Mold Mixing + Mold Pouring
Guests are guided through mixing and pouring their molds while learning the purpose behind each step.

1:45 PM – BYOB + Networking Break
Time to relax, have a drink, connect with the group, and enjoy the atmosphere while molds set.

2:15 PM – Mold Removal + Explanation
We remove the molds and explain what guests are looking at, why it matters, and how it connects to the final grillz process.

2:30 PM – Wax-Up Process Begins
Guests are introduced to the wax-up stage and begin learning the basics of shaping the foundation of a custom grill.

3:30 PM – Questions, Photos + Wrap-Up
We close out the class, answer final questions, and give guests a chance to capture content and connect.

4:00 PM – End of Workshop

Pricing options
This experience has two ticket options:

Workshop Only
This ticket includes the full hands-on class experience, guided instruction, and participation in the grillz-making process.

Workshop + Casting Option
This ticket includes the full class experience plus the option to have your grillz casted into a finished piece after the workshop.

Choose the experience that fits you best:
Guests can attend the workshop for the experience alone, or select the upgraded option if they want to move forward with having their custom grillz casted after class. The workshop and workshop-plus-casting options are priced differently.
Please note: If a wax mold is damaged or becomes unusable during the process, Jem Junkies will remake the design, at our discretion, for up to two open-face or two closed-face grillz only. As this is a hands-on workshop experience, minor defects, fit issues, or quality variations are possible and should be expected as part of the process. While we do our best to guide each guest and minimize any issues, perfection cannot be guaranteed.
