About this Event
Every bowl feeds two people.
We're Jefe's Ramen. Four of us, cooking out of pub kitchens across Greater Manchester, and we do one thing differently: buy a bowl and we cook a second one for someone who needs it. Not a percentage of profits. Not a cheque at the end of the year. Just a second bowl, straight to the person.
Those bowls go through the Booth Centre in Manchester, and we're working on doing the same here in Stockport.
On the menu
Tokyo Chick; a flaming Shoyu marinated chicken in our traditional broth, loaded with sesame fried pak choi, soy-marinated egg & vibrant kimchi drizzled in chilli oil and topped with whisps of spring onion. A classic ramen, made with love, tasting like home.
Miso Shroom; hoisin & soy marinated dashi mushroom in our deep miso broth, honey glazed corn ribs, sesame fried pak choi, soy-marinated egg & punchy kimchi drizzled with chilli oil and topped with whispy spring onion. A full-bodied bowl to warm the soul.
And our special, The Big Baloo, breakfast at anytime; slow-cooked marinated beef brisket, pulled and smothered in our classic sauce, loaded to the brim with maple bacon, crispy tater tots, fried pak choi, soy-marinated egg & edamame beans drizzled with chilli oil and topped with whisps of spring onion. The first ever ramen inspired by the Great British breakfast. Some call it infusion, we call it delicious.
Sides at the bar on the night: gyozas, skewers, bear salad, the toastie.
Book before Wednesday midnight and your skewers are on us. That's when we shop, and it's how we know how many bowls to buy for the people we're giving them to. Book after that and there's no online ticket it's walk-in only, if there's space.
Your ticket is your bowl. Pick which one when you sit down. Drinks are at the bar and every penny of that stays with the pub.
