Matt Carrillo, aka Yung Mehico, is a saxophonist/multi-instrumentalist and multi-platinum recording artist from the suburbs of Kansas City, MO. Based in Brooklyn, NY for the last fifteen years, he’s known for his musical versatility—producing/touring with Action Bronson, playing keys for The Weeknd, performing sax with Berlioz, and co-creating soundscapes with producers like Harry Fraud and The Alchemist. Last year, he released his debut single “About You,” with a full project coming soon.

Free Jazz Thursday shows at The Ship are a good way to discover emerging local musical talent in a cozy, intimate setting. The shows are free to attend, but your donations are appreciated to help us offset costs and pay the performers. All seating is first come, first served, so please arrive early to get the best choice. The Ship is open all day and serves some of the finest food and beverages in the area.
