Jensen/Schmitz/Knold Trio brings together three musicians from Northern Jutland who are drawn to both jazz tradition and the possibilities of the unexpected.
The trio takes inspiration from the American songbook and the rhythm of Aalborg’s harbour. Their repertoire combines original compositions with interpretations of jazz standards.
On stage, each piece becomes a starting point for close, intuitive interplay. Melodies can change course at any moment, giving familiar jazz sounds a raw, playful Northern Jutland character.
Lineup:
Mads Jensen - guitar
Andreas Schmitz - doublebass
Hans Kristian Knold - drums
