Swedish pianist, singer and composer Fanny Gunnarsson writes modern nordic jazz with a personal touch. Her songs pair reflective lyrics with lyrical melodies and a hint of melancholy, brought to life through the close interplay of her quartet.
The group’s latest album, Night of Stars, was released in 2023. Swedish music magazine LIRA named their earlier album Mirrors the best jazz vocal album of 2017. Join us at Jazz i Gaden for an evening with Fanny Gunnarsson Quartet.
Lineup:
Fanny Gunnarsson - Piano, voice & compositions
Estere Ozolina - tenor & soprano saxophone
Yannick Ballmann - drums
Anders Boye Knudsen - doublebass
