Beatdenker
Can a beat be intricate enough to surprise your ears and still make you want to dance? Berlin-based Beatdenker makes a strong case for it.
Beatdenker is the guitarist, producer and finger drummer Joachim “Jo” Wespel.
He brings jazz improvisation together with electronic sounds, samples and rhythms drawn from beat music, IDM and beyond. Using finger drumming, guitar synth, loops and effects, he builds his music live and takes it somewhere new each time.
Expect sudden turns, playful ideas and plenty of pulse when Beatdenker joins us at Jazz i Gaden on Wednesday 9 December.
