October 21st - Tony Kofi and the Paul Edis TrioTooting Jazz presents a new monthly jazz night upstairs at the Antelope pub, Tooting Broadway!
Tony Kofi is a British Jazz multi-instrumentalist born of Ghanaian parents, a player of the Alto, Baritone, Soprano, Tenor saxophones and flute. Having 'cut his teeth' in the “Jazz Warriors” of the early 90’s, award-winning saxophonist Tony Kofi has gone on to establish himself as a musician, teacher and composer of some authority.

Described as "one of the leading lights in contemporary jazz" Paul Edis is a natural melodist who finds the emotional resonance of every note. Rooted in the straight-ahead swinging tradition, his music has been played on the radio in the UK, US and Europe.
Completing the trio are the outstanding rhythm section of Simon Read (double bass) and Billy Pod (drums).
