A commanding force in modern blues, this band is built around one of the most electrifying harmonica players on the planet. Jason Ricci brings a fearless, high-voltage approach to the instrument—blending deep blues tradition with rock intensity, funk rhythms, and experimental edge. Backed by The Bad Kind, his sound moves from raw, gritty grooves to explosive, full-throttle improvisation, driven by searing harmonica work, powerful vocals, and a band that plays with precision and fire.Ricci’s career spans collaborations with legends and appearances on a Grammy-winning album with Johnny Winter, along with a performance at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Onstage, that pedigree translates into a performance that feels both deeply rooted and completely unpredictable—where technical mastery meets unfiltered emotion. The band’s latest recordings showcase a modern blues sound that is as bold and adventurous as it is steeped in tradition.
