Jason Paul Jeka has been an active touring musician, songwriter and producer for over 20 years. Throughout his career he has shared stages with the likes of Weezer, Local H, Jerry Lee Lewis and dozens of other national touring artists. His current musical home is the pop punk / alt-rock band Hanging Cities based out of the shadow of Chicago, IL.In 2014 JPJ released his first solo album titled “*in black and white”. Along with a touring band, he hit the road performing the album over the next couple of years including stops in Austin, TX during SXSW. With the members of that touring band, Nick Hon (drums) and Tim Lorenz (bass) Hanging Cities was born in 2019, just in time to be paused by that thing that happened the following Spring.
On May 13, 2022, Hanging Cities released their first single, "She Always Wins". A full album is scheduled for release in Summer 2026.
Through his own recording studio, JPJ has extended his reach by producing and collaborating with other Chicago area bands and musicians.
