Janky Bungag “Hangin’ Out Tour” at Meteor Nov 27th / $17.50 advanced / $20 door / 8pm doors Tickets on sale Sept 17 @ 10am
For fans of: Merle Haggard, David Allen Coe, Willie Nelson
Janky Bungag is sweet and spicy wrapped into a bluegrass pickin’, good timin’ man. Hailing from Vancouver, Janky takes the every day ins and outs of living in a city and transforms them into a song that each person can relate to. From love to lust, heart break to smoke break, he touches on all the emotions with a laid back lighthearted energy.
With every strum you’ll hear a little bit of bluegrass. With every note you can catch a little bit of country. In every song you get a cocktail of all of Janky’s musical inspirations: Merle Haggard, David Allen Coe, and Willie Nelson to name a few. Janky is an escape from the norm of what people think country music is. Some say it’s got shades of punk influence. But if you can’t put your finger on how to describe this music, you can at least call it a good time.
