James Hamilton is known for comet-like energy during live performances. He features across the US and abroad, where he might pause his set to interact with the audience. His delivery is noted as authentic and enlivening.Hamilton has been described as having a jazz dialect, often using irreverent phrasing to capture the erratic timing and tangential flavor of his thoughts. His style relies on palpable performance passion and word manipulation to create a fresh, unaffected sound.
