The Thirsty for Reggae Concert Series rolls into the new year with Jahdan Blakkamoore, joined by Mendocino County favorites Rising Signs!
Born in Guyana and raised in Brooklyn, Jahdan Blakkamoore is a Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter whose music crosses reggae, dancehall, hip-hop and dub. His career includes work with Major Lazer, collaborations with artists including Snoop Dogg, and songwriting and vocals on Snoop’s Grammy-nominated reggae album Reincarnated.
Opening the night is Rising Signs, a homegrown Northern California reggae band known for three-part harmonies, original music and a mix of roots reggae and classic reggae favorites. Over the years they’ve shared stages with reggae legends including Don Carlos, Pablo Moses, Israel Vibration, Prezident Brown, Mykal Rose, The Itals, Pato Banton and Everton Blender.
