Join us at the Atrium Gallery at Christwood for Jacques Soulas: Visual Explorations, an exhibition celebrating the artistry and perspective of New Orleans artist Jacques Soulas.Born in France and raised in Paris, Soulas studied ceramics and graphic design before moving to New Orleans in 1980 to further pursue his artistic interests. His work brings a fresh perspective to everyday subjects, transforming familiar household objects into thoughtfully composed still lifes through decorative patterns, complementary colors, and intricate details. He also captures the beauty of New Orleans through landscape paintings inspired by the city and his neighborhood of Bayou St. John.
In addition to his artistic career, Soulas is the co-owner of Café Degas, a beloved French restaurant in New Orleans, which will provide refreshments for the event.
Experience the color, composition, and creativity of Jacques Soulas as he explores the beauty found in both the ordinary and the extraordinary. We look forward to welcoming you to the Atrium Gallery at Christwood!
