SOME STORIES NEVER MAKE IT TO THE STAGEViis aastat. Tuhanded tantsijad. Kümned tantsustuudiod. Lugematud hetked, mida oleme koos loonud ja läbi elanud.
Alates 2022. aastast on J-FEST Showcase Edition toonud Jõhvi kontserdimajja kokku tantsijaid, koreograafe ja pealtvaatajaid Eestist ning välismaalt. Kontserdimajast on saanud festivali tõeline kodu. Viie aastaga on Showcase Edition kasvanud ühepäevasest üritusest suurejooneliseks kahepäevaseks kultuurisündmuseks, säilitades kõige olulisema - inimesed, loovuse ja armastuse tantsu vastu.
Kuid iga laval nähtud etteaste taga peitub terve maailm, mida publik tavaliselt ei näe.
J-FEST: BEHIND THE SCENES on dokumentaalfilm, mis annab võimaluse näha festivali hoopis teisest küljest. Filmi keskmes on Showcase Edition 2026.
Viis aastat. Tuhanded lood. Üks eriline õhtu.
Tule tähista koos meiega Showcase Editioni viiendat aastapäeva! ❤️

SOME STORIES NEVER MAKE IT TO THE STAGE
Five years. Thousands of dancers. Dozens of dance studios. Countless moments we've created and experienced together.
Since 2022, J-FEST Showcase Edition has brought together dancers, choreographers, and audiences from Estonia and beyond at Jõhvi Concert Hall, a place that has become the festival's true home. Over five years, Showcase Edition has grown from a one-day event into a major two-day cultural event, while staying true to what matters most - people, creativity, and a shared love for dance.
But behind every performance on stage lies a whole world that the audience rarely gets to see.
J-FEST: BEHIND THE SCENES is a documentary film offering a different perspective on the festival. At the heart of the story is Showcase Edition 2026. The camera follows what happens both on stage and behind the scenes: preparations, the work of the organizers and technical crew, the dancers, their emotions, and the everyday moments that bring a major event to life.
✨ Five Years of Showcase Edition - One Special Night ✨
On November 27, Tallinn's Kino Artis will host the documentary's only planned cinema screening, alongside a special celebration marking five years of Showcase Edition. This evening brings together the dance and cultural community, organizers, partners, and everyone who has been part of the J-FEST story.
The program includes: the documentary premiere on the big screen, a special celebration program, recognition of individuals and partners who have made a significant contribution to J-FEST's development, interactive activities, gifts and giveaways, and exclusive first announcements about the festival's upcoming projects.
You might spot yourself or familiar faces on screen. Or perhaps you'll discover the world of J-FEST for the very first time.
