After 7 years of Gdynia Winter Swimming Cup, we are incredibly proud and excited to invite you to something truly historic:
🏆 THE 1ST IWSA EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS IN HISTORY!
For the first time in the history of the International Winter Swimming Federation (IWSA) the European Championships will take place in Gdynia, Poland.
These Championships have never been held before.
Gdynia will make history as the host of the very first IWSA European Championships, welcoming winter swimmers from across Europe to the legendary waters of Gdańsk Bay, Baltic Sea.
And this is more than just another competition. For four full days, winter swimmers from across Europe will come together in Gdynia to compete for European Championship titles, challenge themselves in the cold Baltic waters and become part of winter swimming history.
The results of the European Championships will also count towards the IWSA World Cup ranking.
🌊 FROM A LOCAL EVENT TO THE EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS
Seven years ago, Gdynia Winter Swimming Cup started as a local winter swimming event. Since then, step by step, year by year, Gdynia Winter Swimming Cup has grown from a local event into an international competition, hosting the International Polish Winter Swimming Championships and becoming part of the IWSA World Cup.
And now, after seven years, GWSC is proud to bring the first-ever IWSA European Championships to Gdynia.
From a local event to the first European Championships in the history of the federation.
This is a huge milestone for GWSC, for Gdynia and for winter swimming.

🥶 GDYNIA KNOWS HOW TO HANDLE THE COLD
Last year, Gdynia showed its true winter swimming spirit.
The water temperature dropped to an incredible: MINUS -0.35°C.
Preparing the competition course meant cutting through the ice with saws and excavators to create a swimming lane.
That is Gdynia. That is the Baltic.
That is winter swimming 🥶🌊
And now we are ready to welcome Europe.

This is your chance to take your first step into the world of cold-water swimming.
💶 ENTRY FEES
Package pricing applies to timed individual races from 25 m to 450 m:
1–2 starts — EUR 45 per start
3–7 starts — EUR 40 per start
8–10 starts — EUR 35 per start
Additional entry fees:

The competition will take place in Gdynia Marina, right in the heart of the city, directly in the yacht harbour overlooking the Baltic Sea.
✈️ HOW TO GET TO GDYNIA
Gdynia Marina is approximately:
🚕 40 minutes by taxi from Gdańsk Airport
🚆 Around 28 minutes by public transport
A direct train connects Gdańsk Airport with Gdynia Główna, located close to the competition venue.
