IUBFC FUTSAL LEAGUE — SEASON 1, 2026 ⚽Heart. Hustle. Honour.
Organized by IUB Football Club (IUBFC), the IUBFC Futsal League — Season 1, 2026, is a competitive futsal tournament designed to bring together IUB students, alumni, faculty, staff, and eligible players through teamwork, strategy, and sportsmanship.

⚽ Format: 5-a-side futsal
1. Player Registration
- IUBFC will release an official Player Registration Form for members interested in participating.
- Completing the form expresses interest but does not guarantee selection.
- The official player list and categories will be finalized by IUBFC.

2. Team Registration
- A separate Team Registration Form will be released by IUBFC.
- Team slots are limited and subject to verification and approval.
- Team registration fee: BDT 3,500 (non-refundable).
- Every team must have a name containing “IUB” and a full-time IUB faculty member as its advisor.
- Each team must build an eight-player squad through the official auction and permitted pre-contract arrangements.
- A player may represent only one team at a time.

3. Auction Rules
Each team will receive 35,000 virtual coins for the auction.
Player Categories and Base Valuations
- Icon — 7,000 coins
- Rare A — 5,000 coins
- Rare B — 5,000 coins
- Gold — 5,000 coins
- Silver — 3,000 coins
- Bronze — 1,000 coins
Squad-Building Rules
- Each team must assemble an eight-player squad.
- A maximum of two players may be selected from any one category.
- Each team must include at least one player from each of these five categories: Rare A, Rare B, Gold, Silver, and Bronze.
- Icon players are subject to availability and are not mandatory. If Icon players are unavailable, teams may complete their squads using players from other categories while following all category limits.
- The official auction player list will be published 2–3 days before the auction.
- The team auction manager must attend in person. One or two players may accompany the manager.
Pre-Contract Rules
- Each team may retain up to two players through the official pre-contract process.
- Retained players will be valued at their base valuation plus an additional percentage determined by IUBFC.
- The same percentage will apply to all players, regardless of category.
- Retained players will count toward the eight-player squad limit and applicable category limits.
- The final percentage and procedure will be announced before the auction.

4. Men's Competition Format
The men's competition is designed for up to 24 teams. The final format will depend on the number of confirmed registrations.
Group Stage
- 24 teams will be divided into eight groups of three.
- Each group will play a round-robin format.
- The top two teams from each group will qualify for the Round of 16.
Men's Cup
- Round of 16
- Quarterfinals
- Semifinals
- Final
Men's Plate
- The eight teams finishing third in their groups will compete in a separate knockout competition.
If the final number of teams differs from the planned capacity, IUBFC may revise the competition format.
5. Women's Competition
The IUBFC Futsal League will also feature a women's football competition to encourage participation, teamwork, and competitive spirit among female players.
- A minimum of four female teams must participate in the competition.
- The women's team registration process and official registration form will be shared by IUBFC at a later date.
- Team registration will be subject to the rules and procedures announced by the organizing committee.
- The competition format, fixtures, match durations, and prize details will be announced once registration is finalized.

6. Match Duration
Proposed match durations are:
- Group Stage: 10 minutes (2 × 5 minutes)
- Round of 16: 12 minutes (2 × 6 minutes)
- Quarterfinals: 14 minutes (2 × 7 minutes)
- Semifinals: 16 minutes (2 × 8 minutes)
- Final: 20 minutes (2 × 10 minutes)
All matches will be scheduled within the official match hours of 5:00 PM–10:00 PM. Final match timings will be confirmed through the official fixtures.
7. Points and Qualification
- Win: 3 points
- Draw: 1 point
- Loss: 0 points
Group-stage tie-breakers and knockout-stage procedures will be detailed in the official tournament regulations.
8. Reporting Time and Substitutions
- Teams must report at least 20 minutes before their scheduled match.
- Late arrival or failure to appear may result in a walkover, subject to the official rules.
- The standard walkover result will be 2–0 unless otherwise specified in the regulations.
- Rolling substitutions will be permitted according to the tournament rules.
9. Awards and Prizes
Team Awards
- Men's Cup Champion and Runner-up
- Men's Plate Champion and Runner-up
- Women's competition awards, subject to the finalized format
Individual Awards
- Most Valuable Player (MVP)
- Top Scorer
- Best Goalkeeper
- Best Defender
- Emerging Player
- Best Impact Player
- Additional awards will be announced by IUBFC
Final prize money and award details will be announced before the tournament.
10. Discipline and Sportsmanship
- All participants must respect opponents, officials, organizers, and venue staff.
- Appropriate futsal footwear is mandatory. Barefoot play and unsuitable spiked footwear are prohibited.
- Misconduct may result in warnings, suspensions, or disqualification under the official regulations.
- Red cards and suspensions will be handled according to the published rules.
- All participants must follow IUB Sports Complex regulations and university policies.

12. Final Authority
