The wait is finally over… registration for the November IGTGH 2026 is officially OPEN!
Fancy 21 miles of Jurassic Coast, big sea views, brutal hills, questionable weather and a whole load of good people?
You’re in the right place.
For those who haven’t joined us before, It’s Going to Get Hairy is our OG Jurassic Coast challenge — a 21-mile trek from Lulworth to Swanage, taking in some of the most spectacular coastline in the country.
It’s beautiful. It’s tough. It’s a little bit bonkers. And you’ll absolutely earn that finish.

📅 Saturday 7th November 2026 📍 Lulworth → Swanage 🥾 21 miles 👣 Open to everyone with a good level of fitness and hiking ability.
Oh and did we mention we end in East Bar for the odd beer or two ;)
Please note: This year, we’re keeping things self-supported as much as possible. We have to remember this is community March run by a lovely of volunteers.
That means you’ll need to be prepared and self-sufficient for the route. We’ll of course have support marchers out there and you’ll see familiar faces, local athletes and brilliant brands along the way — but ultimately, you need to be confident that you can complete the route independently although we will have a support station on route.
Expect rugged hills, varied terrain, unpredictable November weather and a few moments when you’ll wonder why on earth you signed up. And then you’ll get another incredible view and remember exactly why.
🎒 COME PREPARED
You’ll need the usual essentials for a proper coastal adventure — sturdy footwear, waterproofs, warm layers, a torch, food, plenty of hydration and anything else you need to keep yourself comfortable and safe for 21 miles.
No fancy qualifications. No special skills. Just a decent level of fitness, a bit of determination and a willingness to embrace the adventure.
And the best bit?
You won’t be doing it alone.
It’s Going to Get Hairy is about the people as much as the miles — strangers becoming mates, pushing each other up the hills, sharing snacks, having a laugh and crossing that finish line together.

This year, we’d love you to get behind the Nimsdai Foundation. It has been a difficult year for the mountain community, following the loss of an inspirational mountaineer, and the Nimsdai Foundation’s founder, Nimsdai Purja.
But his belief to 'Dream Big', and that “nothing is impossible” continues through the work of the Nimsdai Foundation, a small charity delivering real, practical impact for mountain communities.
