About this Event
Won't you be our neighbor?
There's something special about our neighborhood. The charming streets, the familiar faces, the shopkeepers who remember your name, and the small businesses that make Old Town feel like home.
This holiday season, we're celebrating the people and places that make our neighborhood one of a kind — one puzzle piece at a time!
Join us for It's a Beautiful Day in Old Town, a festive, three-week puzzle crawl kicking off on Small Business Saturday, November 28!
How It Works
1. Save Your Spot
Register to reserve your very own limited-edition Old Town puzzle, featuring custom artwork by local artist Alexandra Schmeling celebrating our beautiful neighborhood. Choose your preferred puzzle box pickup location at Mint Condition, Bloomers, or Fibre Space when registering.
2. Pick Up Your Puzzle Box on November 28
Kick off the fun on Small Business Saturday! Stop by your selected pickup location to collect your puzzle box and get ready for your neighborhood adventure. Puzzle boxes will be distributed on November 28 only.
3. Explore the Neighborhood
Visit participating shops throughout Old Town to collect the pieces of your puzzle. Along the way, meet the shopkeepers, discover new favorites, enjoy special in-store activities, and get a little holiday shopping done!
4. Piece Together the Magic
You have until December 19 to visit participating businesses and collect your pieces. Complete your puzzle to reveal a beautiful, custom-illustrated scene celebrating Old Town Alexandria!
The Pieces That Make Old Town Special
Small businesses are the heart of our neighborhood. They're where we discover thoughtful gifts, share stories, make connections, and find a little something unexpected.
This puzzle crawl is our way of inviting you to slow down, explore, and get to know the neighbors who make Old Town so special.
Whether you've lived here for decades or are visiting for the first time, there's always something new to discover around the corner.
