FAIRLY OBVIOUSFairly Obvious are a progressive pop-punk band from Taupo, New Zealand, blending big hooks with restless energy.
In early 2026, the band opened for Zed, Iggy Pop, and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts on the Summer Concert Tour — a huge milestone for a band that had only begun writing original material months earlier.
The Taupo four-piece assembled a full set of original songs and released their debut single Picnic Holiday soon after, followed by their next single, SpaceBetween, released August 6.
Their debut album is set for release on October 15th, alongside a powerful run of live shows.
Fairly Obvious are quickly building momentum and establishing themselves as one of New Zealand’s emerging acts to watch.
