ISORA - "to see the roots from the top".
We use this metaphor in our music for the search of new sounds but always keeping in mind the seed, the essence, the intuition that keeps us connected to the roots.Original compositions inspired by poetry and folklore serve as the starting point: the seed, the root. From there on, through improvisation, there's a search and live experimentation to create different sound atmospheres. The voice, oboe, trumpet, synthesizers and live electronic music are the tools used to build up soundscapes and trigger musical ideas.
At the moment ISORA - consisting of Ainhoa Pérez Echepare (oboe/English horn, voice and guitar) and Álvaro Rey de Viñas (trumpet, synths and live electronics) - are working together in the production of their first EP that brings together own compositions inspired by Castilian traditional songs and Lorca's poetry in order to create a musical narrative connected with their roots.
The Godown is excited to host this beautiful duo for an intimate evening, to preview some of their original compositions and bring a very new sound and vibe into our space and share with you.
Student or General Admission tickets are available - €8 or €15.
