Island Jubilee Old Time Radio Music Show heading into its 5th Season with premiere set for October 25 with a star-studded tribute to Canadian country music.
The Island Jubilee Old Time Radio Music Show will launch its fifth season on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. with a highly anticipated premiere and special tribute to Canadian country music stars showcasing the music of Anne Murray, Gene MacLellan, Gordon Lightfoot, Hank Snow, and many others.
The performance will feature some of Prince Edward Island’s finest talents—including Shane Pendergast, Catherine MacLellan, and step-dancing queen Janelle Banks—accompanied by the ever-popular Jubilee All-Star Band, all recorded live in front of our audience at the Florence Simmons Performance Hall in Charlottetown, PE for broadcast on Tantramar Radio 107.9 FM CFTA.
The Island Jubilee continues to build momentum both on and off Island, attracting audiences across the Maritimes with its star-studded showcase of Island talent, warm hospitality, and popular charter tours offered in partnership with Tantramar FM and Red Shores’ Top of the Park.
Catherine MacLellan has been captivating audiences around the world with her warm presence and musical artistry for over two decades, as well as her own production and personal tribute to her father Gene MacLellan, all the while carrying his legacy forward and forging her own.
Shane Pendergast is a true triple threat—a captivating poet, singer and guitarist whose music is deeply rooted in folk traditions. Generations of fabled Island storytellers and musicians make up Shane’s DNA and he carries the spirit of Maritime folk music forward through honest, insightful, and deeply personal compositions.
A perennial favourite, Springvale’s Janelle Banks will open our fifth season with her acclaimed step dancing. With more than 20 years of experience, the decorated champion has earned numerous honours at competitions across Canada, including the World Cup in Quebec and Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom parade.
Catherine & Shane are eager to celebrate their favourite Canadian Country Music Stars by sharing stories and their own renditions, and Janelle - a fan favourite amongst our Jubilee tours- is excited to return and share the stage to help kick off our Season Five.
