As we step into 2026, we are not simply beginning a new year. We are opening a defining chapter in ISACA Sydney’s story.
This year marks 50 years of our Chapter. Fifty years shaped by volunteers who believed that trust, professionalism and governance matter. Leaders who built capability long before cyber risk became a boardroom priority. A community that has continually evolved to meet the moment.
What makes this milestone especially significant is where ISACA Sydney stands today.
Over the past year, the Chapter has delivered one of the strongest periods of progress in its history. We hosted our largest-ever conference, achieved substantial membership growth, launched Special Interest Groups to turn expertise into contribution, and strengthened partnerships that extend our impact across industry, government and the wider community.
These outcomes reflect a Chapter that is no longer just responding to change but actively shaping it. They speak to clarity of direction, disciplined execution and a shared commitment to raising the bar for what a professional community can achieve.
We open our 50th anniversary year with an event that reflects this standing. Bringing together ISACA International CEO, members of the ISACA International Board of Directors, senior public sector leadership and our local community is an honour. It underscores the role ISACA Sydney plays on the global stage and the confidence placed in our Chapter.
This evening is about continuity and responsibility. Honouring the legacy entrusted to us, while setting expectations for the next phase of growth, influence and contribution.
As President, I am proud of what this community has achieved together and confident in the direction we are taking. The next 50 years will demand leadership, courage and collaboration. ISACA Sydney is ready for that challenge.

Session 1: Digital Trust for the Greater Good

A leadership conversation on trust, accountability and public value

Session brief
Digital trust is increasingly central to the public good. It underpins how communities engage with government, how services are delivered, and how confidence is maintained in a digital world.

This conversation will explore what it means to lead with digital trust in the public interest, how accountability expectations are evolving, and how leaders balance innovation, protection and community confidence as cyber risk and privacy considerations grow.

Session 2: Leading Digital Trust When It Matters Most

A fireside conversation with ISACA Global Leadership

Session brief
As ISACA Sydney marks 50 years of enabling digital trust, this fireside discussion offers a rare opportunity to engage directly with ISACA’s global leadership.

The conversation will explore how trust is stewarded at scale, how accountability is evolving across jurisdictions, and what leadership looks like when technology, regulation and public expectation collide. With reflections from ISACA’s CEO and Board members, the session will provide grounded insight into the judgement, responsibility and leadership demands facing today’s cyber, risk and governance professionals.
