Isabel Oliart is a Boston based fiddler with a career spanning between the worlds of Classical and Celtic fiddle music. She graduated from New England Conservatory in 2019 with her Bachelors and from Boston University in 2024 with a Masters Degree in Violin Performance, where she also won the Bach Competition. She won the National Scottish Fiddle Championship in 2025 and has also been a first-place winner of the New Hampshire Highland Games Fiddle Competition (2023), and the Scottish F.I.R.E. Composition Competition (2021). Isabel’s music has been featured on GBH’s A Celtic Sojourn and on NPR’s Says You. She has performed at the Rockport Celtic Festival, Groton Hill Music Center, BCM fest, the Burren, Club Passim, the Loon Mountain Highland Games, and numerous other venues across New England. She was also part of the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra for many years and currently subs with the Albany Symphony, and has also subbed with the New World Symphony Orchestra. Inspired by bonds of kinship forged through music, multi instrumentalist, composer, and teacher Sammy Wetstein found his love for music traveling between multigenerational folk music workshops and festivals in search of a community to call home. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Sammy tours and teaches throughout the worlds of classical, jazz, and traditional Celtic, New England, Bluegrass and Old time fiddle music, and across cello, fiddle, piano, guitar and accordion. He has appeared at venues such as Newport Folk Festival, Grey Fox Bluegrass festival, and the Smithsonian, and has served on faculty at camps and workshops such as Maine Fiddle Camp, The Swannanoa Gathering, The Ashokan Center, Fiddle Hell, and Pinewoods. In his teaching Sammy works to encourage string players of all ages and backgrounds to find freedom in their music, explore global music styles, and play music as a means to exist in community while understanding oneself.
