Step inside Brinton Lodge—if you dare.
Hidden along a lonely country road in Douglassville, Pennsylvania, stands a 300-year-old mansion whose walls have witnessed war, secrecy, death…and something that refuses to leave.
The oldest section began as a small 1700s farmhouse built on land purchased from William Penn. By 1796, the property had become the Kirlin homestead, where ammunition was reportedly produced for the War of 1812. When the Schuylkill River Canal later passed through the grounds, whispers spread that the property may have served as a stop on the Underground Railroad.
In the early 1900s, the modest farmhouse was swallowed inside an extravagant 28-room mansion. During Prohibition, hotelier Caleb Brinton transformed it into an exclusive gentlemen’s club, opening its doors only to the wealthy, powerful and handpicked guests.
But not everyone who entered Brinton Lodge ever truly left.
At least eight deaths have been documented inside the mansion—and with three centuries of hidden history, no one knows how many others may have taken their final breath within its walls.
Visitors have reported full-bodied apparitions, disembodied footsteps moving through empty rooms and personal belongings mysteriously disappearing. Some claim the lodge does more than hold its history—it remembers everyone who has ever crossed its threshold.
In 1978, respected psychic medium Don Galloway reportedly began seeing visions of Brinton Lodge while still aboard an airplane bound for Pennsylvania. He claimed to have contacted its spirits before ever knowing the building existed. After locating the mansion, he remained there for two weeks.
During his stay, Galloway identified five spirits: Caleb Brinton, Caleb’s mother, former owner Katharine Wittman, a mysterious gentleman he called “Dapper Dan”…and the deeply troubled spirit of a little girl.
This holiday season, join Paranormal Cares as we step away from the warmth and celebration of Christmas—and enter the cold darkness of the past.
You’ll have access to the paranormal equipment seen on television as you explore one of Pennsylvania’s most haunted locations. Investigate alongside a member of Paranormal Cares—or disappear into the mansion’s 28 rooms and face whatever waits there on your own.
We were among the first groups to introduce true free-roaming public investigations. No crowded tour. No scripted scares. Just you, the darkness and whatever may answer when you call out.
Some spirits visit during the holidays.
Others have never left.
