In-person training on managing invasive ventilation in community settings
Learn the fundamentals of mechanical ventilation and how to care for patients in the community who require invasive ventilation. The course includes hands-on skills practice and scenario-based learning to prepare you to manage ventilation safely across all age groups.
This course is intended for RN, RPN, RRTs caring for patients in the community and Healthcare professionals supporting patients requiring invasive ventilation in the home
Prerequisites (Required)
- Completion of the Fundamentals of Tracheostomy Care course (within the past 2 years)
- Completion of assigned pre-course reading

We understand that plans can change and aim to offer flexible options:
Transfers & Substitutions
Registrations may be transferred to another course date if requested at least 7 days prior to the course start date. You may also send a substitute participant at no additional charge at any time (substitutes must meet course prerequisites). To request a transfer or substitution, email [email protected].
Refunds
Refund requests must be submitted through Eventbrite (www.eventbrite.ca/mytickets) and are issued as follows:
- More than 14 days before the course – Full refund (100%)
- 7–14 days before the course – 50% refund
- Less than 7 days before the course – No refund
Eventbrite processing fees are subject to their own refund policy. No refunds will be issued for no-shows. Exceptions may be considered in special circumstances.
Course Changes
SiROC reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a course due to unforeseen circumstances. If this occurs, participants will be rescheduled to the next available session or may choose an alternative future date.
