Join Saint Paul Parks - Natural Resources staff for invasive species removal events at various parks throughout the city! During these fall and winter workdays, staff and volunteers work together to restore the native woodlands, oak savannas, prairies, and other natural spaces within our parks by removing invasive trees and shrubs. Volunteers will help us to haul cut brush into trailers, use loppers to cut small invasive shrubs, and may help with pedestrian and bike traffic if we are working alongside a busy path or area. Staff will be using a variety of equipment (like chainsaws and brush cutters) to cut invasives, and we will have a safety review at the beginning of the event. Those who attend will have the opportunity to build invasive plant identification skills, see various habitat restoration techniques, and enjoy several hours of community building, all while making our parks healthier for our native wildlife!Registration:
