Mir Naqibul Islam, Brooklyn Public Library Heritage Artist 2024, is a tabla virtuoso from Bangladesh, based in New York who performs actively, fusing tabla drumming with different genres like jazz, flamenco, and Arabic music. Having trained over a thousand students, he is committed to nurturing the next generation of tabla talent. Mir leads his trio and participates in various cross-genre projects.
