Learn the basics of setting up and using a sewing machine in this friendly, hands-on beginner workshop. 🧵Are you thinking about buying your first sewing machine but aren’t sure sewing is “your thing”? Or do you already own a machine but lack confidence using it? This workshop is the perfect place to start!
In this session, you will be guided step-by-step through the essential functions of a sewing machine. You’ll learn how to set it up, thread it correctly, and begin sewing with confidence.
You will use one of our Janome sewing machines, or you may bring your own (please let us know in advance).
With small class sizes (maximum 8 participants), you’ll receive plenty of individual support and have the opportunity to ask questions throughout the session.
Children aged 12+ are welcome (under 16s must be accompanied by a paying adult).
