In this workshop series, artist Meaghan Sweeney will guide participants at the beginning of their polymer clay journey.
Perfect for newbies and anyone who is curious about polymer clay! This workshop will emphasize experimentation, curiosity, and play, all while learning something new. Sweeney will offer super helpful tips & tricks for common challenges that arise while working with this exciting medium. At the end, participants will take home the bracelet charms, a fridge magnet, and a keychain they made themselves!
Week 1: Breakfast Food Charms
Sunday, October 25, 12pm-2pm
Play and discover the fun of polymer clay through Breakfast Food-inspired charms. This class will focus on the basics of polymer clay: conditioning, tools, and baking.
Week 2: Flower Fridge Magnets
Sunday, November 1, 12pm-2pm
Building on the skills in the first session, we will create Flower Fridge Magnets. Experiment with the details that bring your project to life by reducing dust, using glue, painting, and varnishing.
Week 3: Fish Keychains
Sunday, November 8, 12pm-2pm
Finally, by combining all the experiences from the previous sessions, we will create fun fish for our keychain. Using creative problem-solving, we will learn how to create a project using a reference and how to incorporate jewelry hardware.
