Get ready to discover just how incredible linocut printing can be!In this very special workshop, Anna from Fabritzia Design will guide you through the process of designing, carving and printing your very own linocut artwork — and if you’ve seen Anna’s work, you’ll know the results can be absolutely stunning.
This is linocut taken to the next level. Anna’s prints are beautifully detailed, striking and seriously impressive, and she’ll be sharing the techniques she has developed over 25 years of printmaking to help you create something you’ll be genuinely proud to take home.
You’ll start by developing your design before learning how to safely carve it into lino using specialist tools. Anna will then show you how to ink your finished plate and create your own beautiful hand-pulled prints. There’s something incredibly satisfying about that moment when you lift the paper for the first time and reveal your finished design!
Whether you’ve never tried printmaking before or have experimented with lino cutting in the past and would love to develop your skills, Anna will guide you through every stage in a relaxed, friendly and supportive environment.
Everything you need is included, so you can simply turn up and get creative.
At the end of the workshop, you’ll take home:
Your own hand-carved lino plates
All of the prints you create during the session
A detailed list of the equipment and materials used, including where you can buy them if you catch the printmaking bug!
About Anna
Anna is a freelance designer and printmaker working from her studio in North Yorkshire and has been printmaking for an incredible 25 years.
Her work has been featured in Ideal Home and on Channel 4’s Craft It Yourself, and she also creates her own range of beautiful hand-printed artwork and stationery.
The examples of Anna’s work really do speak for themselves — the level of detail and quality she achieves is outstanding — so we’re incredibly excited to have her joining us and sharing her skills.
